Kintsugi Investing was founded by 2 self-made financially-free investors, to make investing simple, practical, and consistent.
We help everyday investors compound their wealth steadily while freeing up more time for what truly matters.
Zee is an ex-professional investor who was retired by 35 years old. He has met famous names in person like Ray Dalio, Mary Buffett (daughter-in-law of Warren), Howard Marks, and more.
After learning from all of them and managed millions in professional funds (with consistent market beating returns), Zee decided it was time to pursue his passion in teaching.
He now teaches investing finance in a University on the side, while being a Co-founder here at Kintsugi Investing. Zee and Howie met many years back in their professional lives, and reconnected in early 2023. When the two reconnected, Howie was incidentally struck with acute end stage kidney failure, and needed regular dialysis and was often hospitalized to stay alive.
Howie used to work professionally as a digital marketer, while investing on the side (15 years now and counting). With a decent-size portfolio built up over the years and learning from countless mistakes, Howie has devised his own way to invest (as did Zee.)
This has saved Howie from the financial pain of having to stop working for 1 full year, yet still having to pay household expenses and some medical (after insurance). That’s when Howie realized he needs not work anymore if he wants to.Zee and Howie discussed each other’s plans and found that they both share a passion for teaching and making a difference (of course, if we do sell anything, it gives us more cashflow to invest too).
That’s how Kintsugi Investing was born.To date, Kintsugi has helped over 2000 students build and repair their portfolios. A good majority of students have been able to achieve 30%-40% returns although we can never guarantee results because it depends on how well the students learn too.
Even with our current portfolio and results, we are always learning and evolving. That‘s the amazing part about investing because the market (and companies) evolves as time goes by.
